We, the Yedidut Toronto Foundation (a registered nonprofit organization), and the companies and organizations that work for it and operate this website (henceforth “the company” or “us” or “we” and “the website” or “the site”) respect the privacy of our customers and the visitors to our website, and see great value and purpose in maintaining their privacy and the security of their information.

We undertake to abide by the policies set forth below (henceforth “the privacy policy”). The purpose of this policy is to explain our actions vis-a-vis your privacy, and how we use the personal information (as defined by law, henceforth “personal information”) that you give us or that is collected by us in the course of your communication with us, and in the course of your use of the company’s website.

The privacy policy constitutes an addition to the site’s general terms of use and any other agreement that is written and/or implied between you and the company, and the contents of the policy add to them without detracting from them, and constitute an integral part of them. By using the website and the services of the company you are agreeing to the terms of this privacy policy and to the changes that will be made to it from time to time. We recommend that you periodically review the privacy policy posted on this site in order to keep track of these changes.

Where the terms “you” or “yours” appears in this privacy policy, it refers to anyone using the services of the company and all personal information and other information relating to these users. This privacy policy does not apply to information that is managed and/or stored and/or processed in any of the systems that the company develops, owns or maintains for its customers, who are the owners of the information being processed in those systems.

It is further clarified that the use of information published on the website, including any article or analysis or professional description, is the responsibility solely of the user and under no circumstances constitutes professional advice that is required for the substance of the issue. If you find something on the site that seems to you to be misleading, incorrect, dubious, malicious, problematic or anything similar, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible using the contact information detailed below.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND STORE ABOUT YOU

In the course of using and/or browsing the website and/or in the course of the company’s services, you might, of your own free will, give us details and information about you, for the purposes of, inter alia, checking various rights and benefits, determining whether our services and programs are relevant, going through the intake process for one of these programs, filling out online forms, registering for services or for anything else, etc. This information might include your full name, contact details such as your email address, phone number, etc. and other details as you may choose to provide.

In addition, it is possible that some of the services on the website and/or when facing the company, now or in the future, will involve registration. As part of such registration, you might be asked to provide personal information, for example your name, your address, ways of contacting you (telephone, email), and in some cases it is possible we will ask for your identification number (for verification purposes) and such. The fields that are required to complete the registration will be clearly marked. In addition, you may ask us to contact you by sending your details through the “Contact Us” form on the site. In such cases, it is possible that we will keep your information, including your activity history on the site, and the content that interested you might be kept in a “customer card” that will be opened for you in our system.

You are not obligated to provide us with this information. However in some cases, regretfully, if you do not provide us with this information we might not be able to provide you the services you request. For example, we will not be able to fulfill your request that we contact you if you do not give us contact details, and we will not be able to assess whether one of our programs is a good fit for you if you do not provide certain personal details that we request in the process of registering and/or inviting you.

To the extent that you provide or upload any personal information to the company or website, you hereby declare that the information that you provide and/or update on the website is correct, trustworthy and accurate, and that you are providing the information on only your own behalf, or that you are legally permitted to provide the information on behalf of someone else, and that in all cases you exclusively are responsible for providing this information.

In addition to the information you provide us, the site uses automated tools for the purpose of characterizing your use of the site and to improve the user experience. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We may use your personal information for the purpose of contacting you and/or providing services to you, in accordance with your requests, and for any other purpose the goal of which is to enable you to enjoy the company’s services in a smooth and safe manner, and in accordance with the law.

It must be emphasized that this is subject to provisions of the law, and that we will obtain your consent in cases that require it. If you are not interested in continuing to enjoy these marketing offers and promotions, you can, of course, contact us and request that we remove you from our distribution lists.

We also use your information for statistical and aggregation purpose, aggregated with information from other customers, for the purpose of improving our service and optimizing our website, systems and activities as a company. This is done while maintaining your privacy and reducing the use of your personal information wherever possible, and in accordance with our responsibilities under the law.

The information you provide to us will be maintained and stored in our systems and/or our databases for varying periods of time, in accordance with our interests and the provisions of the law. The time period will be determined in accordance with, inter alia, our need to provide you better service in the future, to offer you commercial and marketing offers as stated above, to fulfill our legal obligations, to secure our legal interests in case of any future lawsuit and/or dispute, and/or any other of our legitimate and legal interests.

We may use the contact details you provide us to share with you marketing  items and various types of commercial offers, messages about special sales and events, to send you a newsletter with special offers and seasonal updates, and to match these items in accordance with your needs, subject to provisions of the law on this subject. SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

Among other reasons, we understand the sensitive nature of some of the information stored in our systems. We therefore use various technological avenues, procedures and protocols, the purpose of which is to ensure the security, safe storage and long-term protection of the information in our systems. However, as with any system, we cannot promise with full assurance that the security of our systems is guaranteed, and therefore we do not guarantee that our databases are completely immune to any hacking and/or unauthorized access.

We go to great lengths to ensure that your payments are secure.

  • All the personal details and credit card details that are given to us in the course of transactions is transmitted to the servers via an advanced SSL security protocol.
  • Credit card details are not stored with us after payment is complete.
  • Our clearing process meets the most stringent security standards of the PCI DSS L1 credit card companies. 

 

SHARING OF INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES

We may transfer the personal information you provide us to third parties. For example, in cases where we have a legal obligation to do so, or when we are permitted to do so according to the law and in accordance with our commercial interests, or when you have provided us with permission and/or consent and/or power of attorney to do so on your behalf. Inter alia, we may transfer your details and personal information that you have provided, to a third party who will acquire and/or merge its activities with the company’s activities, provided that the third party assumes all obligations under this privacy policy.

As a rule, your information will be stored and processed in Israel. However, in some cases your information may be transferred outside of Israel for processing and/or storage. For example, we may use cloud computing systems and services to process and/or store the information. In any such case, we ensure that any such passage of information from Israel will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law and in a manner that ensures the protection and security of your information.

Additionally, as part of our ongoing activities, we may be assisted by and/or make use of external systems and venders that provide us with various services. In any such case, we make sure to use vendors and systems with high levels of security and privacy, and ensure that the only information passed along to the external vendor is information needed to perform the requested activity, subject to the vendor’s obligation to maintain the information’s security, and subject to requirements under the law.


ACCESSING, CORRECTING AND DELETING INFORMATION

According to the Privacy Protection Act of 1981, every individual has the right to see and retain the information stored in a database. Of course, this right applies to you as well. Requests about the matter can be sent to us via the email address listed above. We will respond to your inquiry quickly. If we refuse your request, you of course have the right to turn to the magistrate’s court in accordance with the provisions of the law, and to ask that the court direct us fulfill your request.

It should be noted that residents of the European Union and/or California may have additional rights with respect to certain items of information. If you believe this is relevant to you, you are welcome to contact us with any relevant request.

Of course, it is important to note that the company is not responsible for handling inquiries regarding information that is in the possession of the company’s customers and that is managed by them through the system. In practice the company does not access this information, is not exposed to it in the course of its activities, and is not authorized to make any use of it. Therefore, any inquiry regarding information that was collected by any of the company’s customers through the system should be directed to that customer.

 

OUR POLICIES

We do our utmost to give you the best service.

    • In the event that you are unable to attend a scheduled event, you must notify us at least 24 hours before it begins.
    • Cancelling within less than 24 hours will result in your not being refunded, and will be considered a meeting that you attended, for all purposes.
    • In the case of a series of meetings, payment is for the entire series. No refund will be given for a portion of it.

 

  • In case you are unable to attend the scheduled event, you must notify us up to 24 hours before it takes place.
  • Cancellation of participation within a period of less than 24 hours will not be refunded, and will be considered a meeting that took place, for any matter.
  • In the case of a series of meetings – the payment is for the entire series, no refund will be allowed for part of it.


UPDATES AND CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We have the right to change and update the privacy policy from time to time. If substantive changes are made to the terms of the privacy policy that apply to the personal information that we have stored about you, a notice to that effect will be posted on our website.

It is hereby clarified that registering for and/or using any of the services on the site, may require your consent and permission to additional conditions for that service, in which case you will be required to confirm your consent to those separately.
